Hi all,

I wanted to set up a hotline on a 6402 set, so I configured an analog ext with a hotline, when I go to put hte bridged appearance on the 6402, it doesn't give the option to change the 2 call appearance buttons, does anyone know how to change buttons 1 and 2 on a 6402 set?

THanks!

These are single-line digital phones... As far as I know those buttons cannot be modified.

Thanks,
CJH

Which is odd b/c even on an analog phone you can change the 1 call apearance to a brdged appearance. you would think the digit phone would offer that same feature..

hi there,

As far as i know you cant program a hotline on a 64xx.

But you can program an analog extension whit a hotline or an abrdg-appr.

What if you provision it as a 6408D+ and then remove everything except for the abrdg-appr for the hotline and the "normal" softkey. It won't look good when you status the station, but it "should" work.

manfmmd...

That is what I ended up doing....
Here is what happened though:

I told the system the phone was a 6408 and it did let me change the call apearance buttons, and the 6402 works as a 6408 with the normal call apperances. Then I changed it to abrdge appearance for the analog ext. it wouldn't work.
Plug in a 6408 and it does work. The the abrdg appearance worked on the 6408, but when I plug in the 6402 it doesn't work, which was a bummer... The phone is at one of our remote locations in the lobby and the building people wanted the smallest phone, so I'm not going to put a 6408 out in the lobby...just going to put a label that says press 0 on the phone... (unless I think of something else)

Thanks everyone for the replies..!
