I have a program that ftp's information from unix sco to my nt server. It is a simple program, that is set up to just keep running until I kill it. It simply looks for new records and sends them over via ftp then deletes the records it just sent, so it doesn't keep sending the same records, just new records.

This program works great howver it seems to quit after 1.5 to 2 hours or so. Its wierd because it doesnt even give me an error message, It just looks like it freezes. But I hit escape type do transfer.prg and it starts up again.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of setting that determines how long a program can run? Does anyone have any idea of what kind of error message it means when it appears to just lock up?

Thanks,

There is no such limitation. Probably a memory leak though.
How are you running ftp? Shelling to the OS?
What sort of looping routine do you use for timing? Is there any sort of error routine involved? Any examples?
