Hi,
We use Formscape 2.4.2 on a Windows 2000 server (Formscape is reporting tool which we use to make order confirmations, invoices etc).
Exchange is 5.5 SP4 on a NT4 server.
To prevent Exchange being an open relay only hosts and clients which can succesfully authenticate can route mail.
If I try to send an email from Formscape, I keep getting the message that the program can't connect to the mailserver.
This worked before we changed the settings to prevent the open relay.
I tried adding the IP address of the Formscape server to the Exchange routing restrictons tab but without luck (Exchange Internet Mail connector was restarted).
It seems to me that this is failing because Formscape can't authenticate in Exchange with a username/password.
What can I do to get this working again ?
Thanks,
Richard
