I have a problem with a service that I was wondering if anyone had some advice on.
I've set a program (mercury mail) to run as a service using srvany.exe. My problem lies in this; specs from pmail state that the service must be able to interact w/the desktop. The only way that I can see to allow this is to run under the local system account. Local system has no rights on the network, so running it in that context renders the mail server useless. Anyone have any ideas to allow another domain user to interact w/the desktop?

Hi gbaker,

I'm using Mercury mailserver on many of our customers servers too and on one site also PegasusMail (pmail) but I don't have set up any of the programs as a service.
Just put the Mercury Loader and PMail into the Startup folder - that's all.

Thanks for the reply. What I'm trying to accomplish is to have this run as a service so that I don't have to keep the machine logged on and locked.
I do quite a bit of remote work on this server, and I'm hoping to find a way that I can bounce the box and not have to get someone who is physically there to log on, start the program and then lock the box. A service just seems more efficient.
