I am working with an old System 75 that was upgraded to a G3.

From the PBX terminal, I programmed 8 feature buttons on a 7406+ - Feature Buttons 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11)with "abrv-dial List: 1 DC: 01 thru DC08".

I do not know how to program the personal ADs at the voice terminal.

I looked up Features at the PBX terminal and found Abbreviated Dialing Personl Code for List one was "101".

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Brad

I haven't worked on an older G3 system in a long time but (and I could be wrong):

When you do a "display feature-access-codes" do you have an entry for "Abbreviated Dial - Prgm Group List Access Code:" or something similar? Does it have a FAC assigned?

The other way is to assign an abr-prog button to the phone and program it similarly to other phones.

It's been a while, but here goes:
First - The 7406 phones need a "Program" button programmed on them.
Second - It looks like you're using "List 1" as the personal list. Verify this in the station setup.

Now, from one of the phones, press "program", then press the number of the list you want to program (in this case, "1"), then press the item number on the list to store the number in (first one will be either "1" or "01", the next would be "2" or "02", etc.), then key in the number to be dialed, including FAC if needed (and if the COR permits it) ("9" for an outside line, etc).

I always had problems with the users trying to do this. I eventually gave up and just told them to email me what they wanted programmed. I could do in a minute (on the SAT)what they spent hours trying to do from their phone. They always forgot to enter either the list to program or the list item number.....

Let us know if this works out for you.

Enter FAC - 101
Enter the desired abbr entry...0-9
Dial 9 and the desired telephone number..
at this point you should receive confirmation tone

disp abbr per (extension) to see what the list is currently programmed as

My first thread is WRONG..look in your feature access codes and see what the FAC is for Program Access Code:

enter Program Access Code:
then enter list number - 1 or 2
enter the code of entry to be changed
input the number you wish to add to abbr list
press # and you should get confirmation tone..
