Profile won't update, view channels won't update after new config 3

Hi, I'm using a Nice Logger Ver. 8.5 Digital.
I'm trying to change a profile and remove channels from a person's privledges and the "play" button is checked but greyed out. The remove button is not greyed out but when I click on the channel I want to remove, it does nothing. I've tried to change the profile to another user and even created a new profile and even after I save if I click on that user again the old channels are still showing up.

Also I added in another channel and I can see it in the Input list and the "configured" box is checked, but I can't get it to show up in the "monitor" window so I can view channels and it's not there either. Also I can't select it to add it into someones profile.

When privileges are (un)checked and greyed out, they usually are set at a higher level. Check the User-Group privileges and/or the Site-Level privileges.

Let me know what you found out...

Well, I did change the profile several times and created a new profile to no avail. I ended up just deleting the user and re-adding it and it worked great. At some point during the night the new recorded extension became available in the monitor window. Not sure what the hold up was, it would be "nice" to find out how to get new configurations to update quicker. Thank you for your input Maarten.
 
I'm assuming this is a loggers only install, if so restarting SQL (pause,stop,start) will force the app to read the changes from the tables. Don't ask why it's a quirk some times it does and somestimes it doesn't
 
It is a logger only install.
Thank you for that tip, I'll try that next time I'm in a jam, hopefully that won't affect the live call recording.

doesn't affect recording as loggers only don't use cdr info it is only used to store channel/user info etc
 
biglebowski, I just configured a new user and I'm trying to "Start" the recording but I can't get it to show up in the Monitor window to enable the recording. I tried the SQL trick you mentiond as well as re-booting the SQL server and it still dosen't show up, am I missing something?

I'm assuming that it will show up some time over the weekend like last time but my customers are getting impatient when they want access to record and they have to wait 24 hours.

Hey,

Just read an internal memo sent round regarding NICE 8.5, apparently you need to install service pack 30b which solves issues such as users not updating.

There is then a hotfix ontop of this that solves the problem where changes do not update under the admin user.
