We have two Citrix servers (Windows 2000, MetaFame XP
edition) we use roaming profiles in order to enable
our users to use the same profiles on both servers.

The problem is, that sometimes the profile of the user is
not used and new profile is created instead.

I found in the event log following record:

Windows cannot copy file \\ppr100
\profiles\wagner\Recent\prf9.tmp to location C:\Documents
and Settings\wagner\Recent\prf9.tmp. Contact your network
administrator.
DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is
Being used by another process.

I deleted the file prf9.tmp, from the server (ppr100)
Where profiles are stored, manually and than the user was
Still not able to use his profile until I deleted the NT account, their profile and then recreated it... Unfortunately the problem appears
quite often. Do anyone know what causes the problem

Try searching this forum, there are many discussions about this issue with plenty of information.

Regards,
Carl.
