I've just started using Procomm Plus, from CrossTalk, and I
can't get the F keys to work in Meridian Mail. Makes it a bit tough to login! Can anyone give me the configuration or tell me what I'm missing in the setup?

Thanks

on the default keyboard def for procomm, the f keys move over, starting with f6 if i remember right..

I think that the default F-key layout starts with F1. But you have to configure the F5 key. I forget the key map for that F-key. Any help out there??

alt m shows the keyboard map, my mail with default keyboard, starts with f5 or 6, the soft keys are just moved over, i'm so used to them being displaced i don't even think about it. been using procomm for 10 or 12 years.. the dumb terms used to use f1 as the 1st soft key.. i can check my work desktop for the key map

Hi John

I was wondering if you had checked your key map. I still can't get it to work.

Thanks

Gary

What emulation do you have it set to?

I know VT102 works for me but I had to map F5 to ^[[21~. I also had to set the Page Up and Page Down.

I'm using VT220 for emulation. I know vt100 won't work for
MM. Haven'tried VT102, but I'll try that now.

i run vt 320, but any of the 20's should work they let the app reprogram the f keys..

F5 ^[OP
F6 ^[OQ
F7 ^[OR
F8 ^[OS
F9 ^[OT

these are the soft keys that i use for mail admin, the 1st softkey shows up as log and i press f5... this is the default keyboard for procomm, i could move them over but are so used to the right shifted it's not worth the time. mermail is going away as soon as i finish the pilot

Set your emulation for WYSE 75 and the F6 thru F 10 should work with no key mapping needed.

that was in my 1st post with vt320 emulation... i always use f5 thru f9.. dumb term or pc with procom

Interesting that VT102 works but 220 and 320 won't. However in
VT102 only F1 to F4 work. This will do for now until I have time to sit around and screw around with the settings. Thanks
to everyone for their help.

Gary

Right, as previously stated, you have to program F5, page up and page down.

F5 = ^[[21~
Page Up = ^[[5~
Page Down = ^[[6~
