Procomm Plus setup for rlogin

Can anyone help with the setup of Procomm Plus 4.8 to rlogin to the Meridian PBX? I have heard that this will work and heard that it wont. HELP!!

you can use it, if you have it set up right, i use pc anywhere to connect to my desktop form anywhere on campus, then lanch procomm.. lots of ways to get back in. the fastest is a serial server on a tty port, just telnet to an ip address and enter a password, you've got a dumb term

I use putty, nice little free program downloadable everywhere aabout 350kb.

Just type in the ip-adress of the ELNK, make sure that you under connection->auto-login username type: CPSID1110

To do this you have to make an VTY port in LD 17.

Procomm won't do rlogin protocol.

Works well, uses VBscript, Javascript or perl for scripting. Around $40.00 per license

Putty, already mentioned. I don't think it has a strong scripting capability but I have only tried it once.

WRQ Reflection - very powerful terminal emulator, uses VBA for scripting. Expensive.

Or just use the rlogin command from a unix box.

i use a script that does a remote login from pcplus, just build a script that does the atdt command, transmits the logi procudure.. my scripts auto launch, check switch a then, do a call procedure to launch then next dir entry. each switch creates a .cap file

As far as I know, Procomm Plus does not support the "R Login" facility. I wish that it did!.

no not with rlogin, just a work around, not the same functionality, but as close as i have found with procomm
