Hi Teksters, wonder if you can help...
I still use Procomm Plus (4.8) to capture formprints from SX2000's, but the capture files are always .CAP and I have to change them to .TXT to stop Wireshark from opening them. Is there any way to automatically make the capture files .txt - I've searched many times but to no avail.
Thanks.

Enable "Query for filename when capture is started". Then you will give it a name you want !! This can be found in setup -> data tab -> capture setup.

Right Click File
Select open with ...
Select Notepad or Wordpad or whatever editing software you like
Check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"

Done.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

What I do when capturing forms is this:
I've set up a print-to-file printer on my PC.
(could also be a PDF printer)
Set procomm to print to this new "device".

Then when I do an "en pr", the PC print driver ask me what to save the file as. Feature.txt would be an example.

Everything comes out neat and clean without having to screw with my terminal settings.
