Hello,
I used to be able to access my definity G3R using Procomm (ATT4410) and a modem through the inads port.
Now, when I call, the modem on the definity will answer (fax like tone) and then connect. However, it does not prompt me for the login and password anymore.
All I have is "Procomm Plus ready"...
I tried to type STOP, PASSWORD... nothing works...
I have to manually disconnect.
I need to do a lot of remote adminsitration over the next few weeks and will not be on site.
Any help would be great.
Anyway way to find out from the SAT if the port is good, is there any config that could have been changed ?

Thank you in advance.

Just a guess!
Try checking your login permissions to see if you still have access to the INADS port.

Hey there, as simplistic as this may seem, when this happens to me using Procomm it always ends up being my PC/modem/Procomm and not the INADS port. If you have an Internal modem try rebooting. If External, power it off/on and then reboot. Also, it started occurring more often when we converted our Clients to NT about a year or so ago.

Good luck!

Did you upgrade the pbx recently? Are you specifying a modem and baud rate in procomm or are you using default? -CL

Hello Guys,
Thank you for the replies.
I have an internal modem, which is the same one I used to used. It worked fine at the time.
I am going to check the login permissions, just in case.

My Procomm settings seem to be fine:
9600 Bps (Also tried up to 1200)
8-N-1

The modem seems fine...
The inads modem answers the call and stays connected, but I do not have any login prompt.
I tried to type STOP, PASSWORD... But nothing comes up...

Any other suggestions ?
Thanks for all the help.

Arno.

I fixed it...
All I had to do was to reset the modem board on the cabinet and all went fine.
The problem now is that if I try to connect at more than 2400bps, it will answer and disconnect after a sec or so.
Any ideas on how to make it working at 9600bps ?
Thanks.
Arno.

Perhaps you could try and reset the INADS modem. If you are using an external modem for INADS that is of course. In Australia, we use the Paradyne Comsphere for INADS rather than the internal one and sometimes it needs resetting.
