my pc is pIV 2.4 intel 533 512

i replaced my processor fan but i want to know what is the min and max temp for the processor ..to be sure that the new fan works fine or not .

i have another notice that the fan make a very loud noise just like you run a real fan on the the max power .

is that normal ?

thankx

Less than 40 deg. C is great, 40-49 deg. C is good, 50-59 deg. C is still ok(may have to upgrade the case cooling setup), and 60-68 deg. C indicates a different CPU fan is required.
If the CPU heats up to 69 deg. or greater, then its built-in thermal sensor will shut down the system to protect the CPU from overheating.

thankx ski

what about the noise of the fan ?

it is noisy - i have master cooler fan - is that normal ?

Some fans are very noisy, especially the smaller(60mm) fans that push a lot of air(40+ CFM) at high(6000-7000) RPM's.

What is your fan's decibel level rating in its specs?
If it's 40db or higher, then it will be noisy.

Hi, momen,

QuietPC - - offer all kinds of quiet/silent fans and accessories.

Good airflow through your case is essential, and large inderface cards can easily block the flow.

The usual route is cool air entering from the bottom of the case with warm exhausting at the top while being forcibly directed over the hot spots.
