Process Exit Codes in Job History

Can anyone tell me what either of these Error Messages mean. They have cropped up in the History of a Job that I run on a nightly basis. They only occur very occasionally but I wondered how I can cater for them in any way ?. Thanks.

Process Exit Code -1073741819
Process Exit Code 128

The full error texts are :-

"Executed as user: DOMAIN\USER. The step did not generate any output. Process Exit Code -1073741819. The step failed."

"Executed as user: DOMAIN\USER. The step did not generate any output. Process Exit Code 128. The step failed."
