Hello,
Quote from Enterprise Services Knowledge Base:
"We have been experiencing problems with the PU4DC boards. The problem is related to a capacitor, which begins leaking after being in operation for a period of time. When this happens, in most cases only the PU4DC board fails but in some cases adjacent circuit boards have been affected or the entire magazine may be damaged.
Our analysis of the scope of the problem, working together with the vendor of the component, shows that defective components are installed on boards produced during the period 1994 through 1996. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that defective components are also installed on some boards outside the period. We therefore decided to recommend replacement of all PU4DC power supplies.
There will be three replacement units: PU5DC, RG5DC and factory reconditioned PU4DC.
As we regard this as a premature wear out of the component on the PU4DC board, Ericsson Enterprise have decided to extend the offer of the swap replacement of the units.
The replacement program is prolonged and ends 2004-12-31."
You should ask your country Ericsson vendor to replace boards.
