problems with updating virusscan 8

We have recurring issues with updating several servers. we use ePO 3.5 with the latest patches and agent cma3504. Update settings are configured identically for all servers but on 6 systems ( out of 180 ) the update fails every day. When I check the ePO agent log it looks like this:

woensdag 12 oktober 2005 14:18:03 Info Script The deployment task will be re-tried in 5 minutes because update is in progress.

This is repeating every minute till I stop and start the framework service (have to kill the process to allow it to stop). Once the service is restarted the update starts immediately but fails with the next update again.

I tried to deploy the agent again but it doesn't solve the problem.

you need to delete the tasks out of the tasks folder after you stop the framework service in XP it's located under

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Network Associates\Common Framework\Task

and if you drill down into one of the folders inside the task folder you will see identical tasks just delete all of them, once your machine communicates with the server they will repopulate.

If you do this on the server itself it will delete all your scheduled tasks so be careful@@
