The operating system I'm using is Mac OS 10.2.3 with Quark 5.01. We then send Quark exported EPS's to an ADS Validator system to transfer via ISDN to press or print.
The problem we're getting is that EPS's created in Quark 5.1 are failing upon being sent through the validator software. The EPS's are failing on the Illustrator 6 files embedded within the EPS, which the validator is claiming are missing and is therefore unable to validate the EPS (the illustrator files are present and correct each time). We are only experiencing this problem from the Mac that is running Quark 5 with OS X. Other versions of Quark are able to create an EPS which the Validator will read from the exact same file, without any difficulties. We've tried all the different EPS export setting from Quark, and have been unsuccessful each time. Quark EPS's without any contained Illustrator documents are passing through the validator without any problems, and the Quark EPS's when exported from other Macs to the validator are working fine.
Any ideas on solving the problem?
