We recently took 3 of our servers and updated the NIC cards to gigabyte speed cards. We also put in a central switch rather than daisy chaining the servers together. At about this time our shipping department complained that when they print bill of ladings that every 3rd or 4th page would only show the text of the bill and not show any of the graphics such as logo, boxes that make up the form, column boxes to contain all the parts to be shipped. Only text printed. The printer is an HP Laserjet4000N. It has a jet direct card in it and the server has an updated print driver on it. The software that creates the pages runs on the same server and each page is an individual print job. There are times that the job can generate 50 to 60 print jobs, But every 3rd to 4th one had to be reprinted to get the formatted bill of lading.
Any thoughts
Thanks, Mike

Have you tried throttling the communication between the various devices (server NIC/switch/JD card) down to 100mb or even 10mb? Your network cabling or hardware may not be able to support the higher transmission speeds for some reason.
