problems with layers and comobox (drop-down box)

I am constructing a web page in IE.
When I try to put a layer above a combobox, the combobox stays above the layer.
How can i resolve that problem, and make that combobox stays in back of the layer??

Tom is correct. This is a well known problem. The only solution is to 'hide' the offending combo boxes when displaying your layer 'on top' of them.
