problems with IE

I've installed sp2 (XP) on my computer. since then, i'm having problems with my IE (6). for about 2 or 3 I can use it, no problems. and then.. Cannot display page. (DNS error)
when I try the command ipconfig/release --> renew. IE works again, but only for a few minutes.
can anybody give my some advice

I would try running Winsock Fix to see if your winsock is corrupted.

You can download the program from the following:

http://www.sabethacomputing.com/downloads/winsockfix.exe

If that doesn't work you may try reapplying SP2 and also reinstalled IE 6 SP1

Have you also installed all the other Windows Updates since SP2 was released?
