Problems with DNS on looking up mx

I have a server that sit on a dmz and i have groupwise on it i am having trouble finding some domain name mx records it work for some but not all. look over the configuration of the dns server and every thing look fine i can get a normal record for the same domain name but not the mx. i need some help i have no ideal what is wrong
