I have an 0 X 32 MICS system with software version 6.1. The client that distinctive ring from verizon, on a roll over line that lets them know its an 800 call. But since installing the new software, it no longer "double rings". They upgraded the software from 5.0 to 6.1 so they could use the new "e" series phones and have caller id on all sets (plus other features). The 5.0 version did ring long single for main number and double for second number before switching to 6.1

Anyone know how to make the phones "double ring" again when the call to the distinctive ring come in?

as far as i know the norstar doesnt 'pass' distincitve ring from the CO.

However it can be programmed to ring differently for different lines (total of 4 ring types possible)

The only thing to remember when using different rings on the lines is, other sets can't have that ring.

Well it did in on the 5.X software. When I upgrade to 6.1 it stopped.

don't internal rings (intercom) double ring? Maybe you have to turn off internal distinctive ring to allow it to work for 'real' distinctive ring?
