Problems with displaying an selected item in a combo box field.

I have an endless form with a combo box control. With the combo box you can select a selection criteria for displaying only records that match the selection criteria.

Always when the form does not display any record and you select an item in the combo box, the value is not displayed in the combo box window. When the form displays records the value is displayed.

Can anybody help me to solve this problem?
