We have 2 separate servers. One is running IIS, Active Server Pages and Crystal Web Server V7 with out custom ASP application. The other server is the database server running SQL Server 6.5 with the live database.

After any type of shutdown/reboot of the database server (clean or otherwise), the ASP page that generates the Crystal report fails (error "User Timeout Expired"). We must either reboot the entire IIS server or stop/start the Crystal Web services. The rest of the ASP pages on the IIS server have no problem accessing the SQL Server database. This is 100% reproducible.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? [sig][/sig]

Web Server Error

I am getting "SQL server error ****.rpt" when I refresh from the web viewer in I.E. I have re-created the virtual directory, and re-created the OBDC driver. Any ideas?

I would post this as a new question in the Integratiion forum. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
