Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)

i get this error code when i watch the page when i have access open at the same time so i think it must be something with the locktype?

the current settings are:
RsArtiklar.CursorType = 0
RsArtiklar.CursorLocation = 2
RsArtiklar.LockType = 1

What are the proper settings for this?

It does not have to be with the locktype.
Does the database reside on the web server?
Is it in a folder of the web site or is it in a file folder outside of the web servers folders?
Do you use a DNSless connection to connect to the file?
Show us your connect string.

And does the error only occur when you have the database open in Access? Works otherwise?

Stamp out, eliminate and abolish redundancy!

connection string

<!--#include file="Connections/xline.asp" -->

(xline.asp)
<%
Dim MM_xline_STRING
MM_xline_STRING = "dsn=xline;"
%>

mdb file is on the webserver

i only get the error code when i have access open...

Patient: Doc, it hurts when I do this.

Doctor: Don't do that.

well iknow it should be possible to have the mdb file open at the same time, it has to do with the locktype
