Problems with Cisco Switches and NICs?

Hey guys. I'm running a shop with Cisco switches and, among others, 3Com NICs - specifically 3cxfe575ct's. We were experiencing intermittant network loss, did some digging and found this very helpful article. Not only 3Com cards have issues with Cisco switches, but quite a few other vendors.
