Problems With Backing Up to a Tape

Hi

I have attempted to use MS Windows 2003 Backup with the GUI to backup a Exchange database containing approximately 8gb of data, but cannot get the results I want. I am attempting to back up to a tape in an Travan tape drive and the operating system on my server is Windows 2003 Server. I want to do a Normal backup and overwrite the file on the tape at each backup session, but I keep getting the following message:

"The operation was not performed because no unused media was available."

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to rectify the problem.

Have you formatted the tape. Is it locked?
