problems with add/remove programs

Hi,

I was trying to install IIS on my XP professional machine. It installed successfully. when i tried to run it from the administrator tools it didnt do anything. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it and now it wont install. My add/remove programs is now starting to work oddly. It hangs when trying to install or remove IIS.

Has anyone else had this problem?
