User A needs to send email as User B, and not have the sent on behalf label.

So set 'Send As' permissions for User A on User B's account (Have also tried Full Control)

Also set delegate editor rights for User A on User B's mailbox.

And gave the user 'Send on Behalf of also' but this is overridden when Send As permission are set.

One other thing User B's mail is auto-forwarded to User A using the delivery options in Exchange General for the user.

Ran some tests and the email gets forwarded ok, User A then opens the mail selects User B for the 'From' field and sends. It worked once!!!!! Second time and everytime after, were getting 'You do not have permission to send to
this recipient' etc. etc. And this is to the same address it worked to first!!

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Debbie

Remove Send on Behalf of and Assign the Send As right. Kill the forward.

Have user A go into advanced properties and select to Open these Additional Mailboxes. Add user Bs mailbox.

They should then be able to reply and choose the From field.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thanks for reply, we have managed to sort, the end user was not picking the send as name from the global address list, he had added the send as name as a standard contact and was either picking from contacts or just typing the username in the from box, which we presume was just matching with the username in his contacts.

It appears to work every single time he uses send as name from global address list.

Once again thanks.

Hi

Regarding "send as" and "send on behalf of" using SBS 2003 (Outlook/Exchange 2003), I also have a problem which I hope someone can assist with ..

I cannot get the "send on behalf of" to work at all, it is always overridden by the "send as" option.

I have been into the security tab and taken the allow option off the "send as" for the user in question but it still doesn't work.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks in advance
