Problems printing footers from Word2000

Hi all,

I have two users with the same problem. While trying to print word docs, the footers keep showing page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2, page 3 of 3, etc. If I go into print preview and print from there, the docs come out fine.

The computers are running Win2K and Office 2K. I should point out that this happens whatever printer the document is output to. Other computers can open the same document and they print fine.

I have done a full reinstall of office but this has not cured the problem.

My boss has had this same problem with WinXP and Office2K. The first part of field works but second doesn't. We had limited time to get the document to a customer so I ended up having to type the number of pages manually in each section (luckily only a few sections)

So if anyone has answer would be good to know for next time.
