We can not get GroupShield Exchange V5.2 to install on out W2k SP4 and Exchange 2000 SP4 box (nor can we get V5.0 of Groupshield to install).
First I get some error about not having MAPI V5.5. Found a KB article on NAI's site with two workarounds. First didn't work (renaming mapi dll's) but second seemed to (options passed to setup program).
So that gets me a bit further but then it says I don't have Exchange 2000 SP1 installed. Well I have Exchange 2000 SP4 installed!
Found the KB article about checking the registry entry for quotes. There were no quotes.
Used regmon and filemon to try and notice anything odd. All looks fine. Can see it is successfully opening "store.exe" presumably to check version number.
It checks the version of "store.exe" to determine the Exchange version. I've tried stopping Exchange, and copying the SP1 version across but I still get the same error.
I've tried reinstalled Windows Scripting components V5.6
I've tried installing Windows 2000 SP4 (previously was SP3).
We just can not get the application to install. Is there any way to bypass the checks for Exchange 2000 SP1 being installed?
