under modules-tools-references confirm that DAO object library is checked
If you're using code to manipulate the underlying recordsets, you also might consider your declare statements (to "disambiguate" the references;-), cause having a project with both ADO and DAO gives you two different types of recordset, which again might give errors.<br><br>dim rst as DAO.recordset<br>dim db as DAO.database<br>etc.<br>
