problems faxing with xp pro

hi all I am trying to set up to fax for the first time and I am having some difficulty. running xp pro pent.2 350 . Do I have to go through another service such as e-fax ect. to fax something or can I do it with xp alone.Thanks for any help in advance. [bigears]

Be certain that your modem supports FAXing.
