Problem with WMI

We are having a problem with WMI on our 2k3 servers. Microsoft has confirmed that there is an issue. When I try to run a backup of on of the affected servers the job hangs on the system32\wbem folder on regevent.mof file. When I try to cancel the job it sits there until I reboot the server and then it gets listed as faield. Has anyone seen this? the logs for veritas don't get completed cuz i have to reboot ther servers to cancel the job. These servers are DC's but my non DC's are fine.
