All, I have a laptop that is having problems with it's wireless networking. When the wirless networking is enabled, but the onboard wireless nic is powered off, booting up the laptop takes about 5 minutes to get to the login screen. I believe that windows is using the wirless connection as default, and searcing for all of the domain servers on that connection. It times out, then looks on the wired nic, and loads up. Is there a way to tell the system which nic to use as default? I attempted to use the setting in the advanced tcp/ip settings to use the wired nic as a lower cost connection, this did not work. Right now, when the laptop needs to be booted up to the domain, i have to disable the connection, then boot to the network for it not to take the 5 minutes. Any help?
