Problem with wheel mouse driver and scrolling

Hi !
I have developed a multiple windows application, and I had reports about problems with wheel mouse : on some computers, scrolling with wheel was impossible. I noticed that it happened on machines that have microsoft drivers, and not the specific mouse drivers.
Is there a way to avoid this problem (with microsoft drivers) ?

Fox -

Take a look at the Microsoft Mouse site. They have a good explanation of what WM_* messages the mouse driver sends, and why some apps work, and others don't.

You should also know that older versions of Windows require the drivers, but more recent versions (2000/XP) come with them, and the auto hardware-detect will load them automatically.
