Problem with symbols

Has anyone experienced (and sorted) the following problem with Word 2000:

When inserting the 1/3 or 2/3 symbol (from the normal text section of the insert symbol dialog) the symbol appears fine on the screen but does not print out. It prints as an empty square as though the font dows not have an entry for that symbol. All other fractions work and print correctly.

Have tried changing the font to no avail. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!!

Make sure that your printer driver is able to deal with thos kinds of symbols. If the driver can't understand it, it won't print it (or at least it will print the square yuo describe).
