Hi all,

I've got a multi-column listbox within Access 2000 which is being populated via a select query in the row source. The query works ok. The problem is that when I click on a line (with either the mouse or use the arrow keys and spacebar) within the listbox, nothing highlights. And when I check the ListIndex property programmatically, it returns a -1 (which I take to be nothing selected).

I can't seem to see any properties that control whether or not the highlight is shown. Any ideas on where I can begin to look?

Thanks,
Dan

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed!!!

I found that within Access 2000 the form level control for allowing edits on a form directly affects the ability to highlight within a listbox. I would have thought each control would have it's own allow edits, allow adds, etc.

Bottom line, problem solved.

Dan, thank you so much. Your problem was my problem. If you had not come back and shown how you resolved I would still be looking for an answer. Pink star to ya for completing the thread. JL
