problem with receiving mail

i have exch 2000 installed on a win2k server with sp4 (and exch. sp3).

Our ISP has configured MX entries for us. the one with high priority is with them and other one is with us.

the problem is , since i stopped relaying on my SMTP in exchange 2000, i can't receive emails from our ISP's server
how do i correct it

can somebody help
