problem with printer lexmark z33

hi.

I have a lexmark z33 only usb it's not possible to connect it on the lpt 1, when i connect the printer to the usb port win xp detect and install the printer but when i want to print i receive an error message : lost connection......

It's happen one time and i'm not able to reproduce the error the pc reboot when i want to print

i change the usb cable (error message: lost connection)
i check the usb port (they works fine)
i took the printer and plug it on an other pc and the printer works fine #$%$#@#$$%%

I download the latest drivers from lexmark and i got always the lost connection error....


any idea

Your USB port needs to be 1.1 compatible .
If it's onboard USB, you migh set it in the BIOS .

where i can see it if it is 1.1 compatible

Tell us the brand and model of your motherboard ,
and we will try to figure it out .Are you running XP pro or Home with SP1 and all updates(from windowsupdate)

i'm running xp pro and not sure for sp1, because it's for someone else.....
