The general field contains various filetypes.

As common means of viewing/opening the files stored, I use oleBoundControl.DoVerb(0).

This used to work flawlessly. However, recently, we started having problems with several PCs not being able to properly view/open the files.

I'm guessing this is caused by recent PC configuration changes, I have no idea which particular config settings since there have been quite a lot of config changes done and no record of the changes were kept.

My development PC also exibited the same problem where before it tested ok.

So, I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this issue and would be very grateful if anyone would lend their expertise regarding this.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

Could it be that the PCs in question have lost their file associations? You can check this by trying to identify the specific file types that cause the problem. Then check the associations for those types (in Folder Options / File Types in Windows Explorer).

Mike,

I have no reason to suspect such a change because the PCs in question are still able to open the files by double-clicking them in Windows Explorer.

Is there any other thing that may have caused the problem?

Thanks,

Scott
