When I'm trying to install my LAN Adapter smit tells that i have to install devices.pci.ec103981 device package, but where can I get it? <br><br>There is no such package into distributions and APAR fixes....?!?!

normally those devices are on your aix cd's the chances are that you dont have them installed on the machine so its looking for it,try loading your aix v4.? through smitty (mount cd ) then run install software and search for it on list software on related media ,if its there install it ,should solve your problem.

what version of aix you running ? i looked on v431,v432 and v433 cd's for those devices but found none i suggest you search for it on the ibm site ,goodluck

.....that's why I'm asking, because all my tries to search the IBM's site resulted:<br>No hits were found for this query<br>or something like that :(<br>My version is 4.3.2 and there's no something like the package that smit asks for.<br><br>I'm looking for someone who has the same problem to tell me where can I find the package.<br><br>Regards

well then what you can do is on your lan card there is an fcc id number write the number down and go to web site fcc.com on this sit you can search for that fcc number and that will tell you who the original manufacturer is of that card, then you go to there site and you should be able to download that driver for that specific card.<br>goodluck
