I have an Access 97 database on my company server. There is a *.ldb file next to the database. Obviously, there database file (*.mdb) is open since a *ldb file is displayed. I have told everyone to get out of the database but the* ldb file still exists.
What I need to do is run a repair on the database because of a seperate issue altogether. This is not allowable unless the database is closed. Since,I have no tools that allows me to see who is in the database I am trying to delete the database and replace it with a copy (that is not open and therefore allows me to do what I need to do).
However, I cannot even delete the database. I don't see any restraints in the properties of the database that prevents me from deleting it nor are there any restraints on the server drive that I'm on as I'm able to delete other databases in the same path.
Do you have any other suggestions to take care of the problem at hand. Please inform ASAP. Thank you.
