problem with layer position

Hi
I made my homepage with dreamweaver and now have a really big problem .
the page consists of a table , every row has an exact background ( they fit together ).
in the last row I want to position my text .
but finally i want to be able to scroll the content of the table( not the background ) with a scrollbar .

the only solution i found is drawing a layer over it but wenn i change the size of my browser window , the text doesn't fit anymore in the table ....

has any body a good solution

Hello zerberus!

The best solution I see is to put background not in table cells but make it page BG and using CSS set it to be fixed (not scrollable). Say, if you need tips on how to do it.

thx for the hint but I'm not really experienced with style sheets ....
another solution would be better for me .....
there must be a way to scroll only text kontent of a table .

and what's about layers ?
theres no way to pin them to the table so they can't change their position on the background ?

Hello again!

The only solutions to scroll only table content I know is:

1) to build casual table;

2) set some background image (Modify > Page Properties... > Background Image);

3) use CSS to fix BG image.

Using CSS is VERY easy in DW:
a) open CSS window (Window > CSS Styles);
b) create new style (press New Style (plus sign));
c) in pop up window select Type (Redefine HTML Tag), select Tag (body), select This Document Only, click OK;
d) select Category > Background (on the left side);
e) select Attachment (fixed);
f) select other options if need;
g) click OK.

Now preview your page in browser - background image is fixed but the table content is scrollable.
