We are planning on migrating from NT 4.0 to 2003. We want to do a restructuring by migrating from domainA.org to newdomain.org. But, we want to keep domainA.org as our internet and email identification.
Can this be done and what kind of problems are we looking at? I'm just wondering what kind of DNS problems we will have if we change on domain name but still want to use the old domain name for internet and email connections.

If you simply configure your mailserver to accept email for domaina.org and make sure that the MX record in the external DNS zone domaina.org points to your mailserver then this should go fine. The internet-site should not need any reconfiguring: just make sure that points to the correct IP address (again in the external DNS zone).

I don't expect any problems...

Thanks Jeff...I was hoping it would be that simple, but I had to make sure.
