I must be going nuts! I am trying to put an expression on a report that says if an [amt] field > 99.99, place an * on the report, otherwise leave blank. This is my statement Iif([amt]>99.99,"*",""). It does not work! If I say <99.99, it works! But the values in the [amt] fields are definitely greater than 99.99. I have tried so many variations with formats and values with no luck. I know it is something right in front of me and I'm sure I have done this before, but I can't figure it out!

HELP!!
Thanks!
jgarnick
jgarnick@aol.com

I misspoke with I said the <99.99 works--what I meant was that the expression is evaluating all the amts to be less than 99.99 even if they are not. Go figure..........
jgarnick
jgarnick@aol.com

Just a thought:

If [amt] is a numeric field, you'll have trouble trying to fill it with a string such as "*" or "".
