Hi,
I have tried many ways that I could think of, to keep the file size to as small as possible.
Currently, I have a file which three worksheets have formula linked to another file. Because the number of lines in the source file are varied from month to month, that means I have to go into the (destination) file to either delete rows or add additional rows, for presentation and to check the Sum reasons. The file size for this file is about 760KB.
As this was time consuming and painstaking exercise, I decided to automate the copying of the data steps, by using macros to copy the data from the source file (rather than using formula linked). The file size of this automate file now is treble the formula linked file. The file size is still about three times even though I have copied the worksheets that contain the data to a new workbook.
Any helpful suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks.
k
