Hello,

I have a problem that puzzles me, this could be either Printer or Office. Anyway here goes, I have 3 users with new pc's and are using Office xp/2002 pro. The problem is that whenever they open an excel file the pc would crash[bsod] and here's the output:

[hpbf0142.dll page_fault_in_nonpaged_area stop: 0x00000050(0xe12cd000, 0x00000001...]

What I've done so far is reinstall Office w/ latest patches and update Viruses and Windows. Looking at the bsod output it looks like printer driver issue. However, I've reinstalled the printer LJ8100DN driver PCL6 and temporarily i switched the driver to something other than LJ8100 to LJ5000. So far users haven't complained about crashing or problems. According to MS it's a printer driver issue, anyone has a solution?

Thanks.

We always find that the HP Laserjet 3 drivers will work with almost any printer. This won't allow the use of duplex units normally and some graphics may appear off when printed.

Is the printer compliant with the Operating System?
