Hi All!
I feel like a real idiot with this one, but one day last week my email program (Rebecca/Becky - which i've never had a moment of trouble with) stopped accepting email attachments in the usual way. Instead of the attachment coming in as "file.bmp" or "program.exe" all my attachments are now arriving as "winmail.dat" files. Changing extensions seems to have no effect. This is happening on both W2K-SP4 and XP (all updates current).
Also, I have a client using Outlook who is having the same problem... suddenly, any and all attachments she receives come in as "winmail.dat" and she cannot open them no matter what she changes the name to.
Anyone have any idea what's happening with these attachments?
Thanks in advance!
