Problem with Edit Box

Hello All,

I am using an Edit Box on a form. When I click anywhere below the first line in the Edit Box to give it focus, the cursor appears to be on the second line. If I enter text there and save with a Gather, the text is not saved to the record.

If, when the box receives focus, I move the cursor up to the first line before typing, any entry is Gathered properly.

The variables are Public and set to "" in the main program at startup.

Any ideas??

Well, the first thing I would ask is ... Why are you doing things with "Gather" and "Public Variables" ?

Why not use the controls the way they were designed to be used ? Assign the Control source, etc ...

All that other hocus - Pocus ... about having the cursor on the first line or second line ... will disappear.
