Hey awl,

i used to have problems with dreamweaver 4.0: i created some cssstyles like a:link, a:hover, a:visited etc. The fontsize of awl three types were 8px. After creating some links and the preview in the bowser (i used ie and mozilla) i noticed, that the size of links was 8px, but when i hover a link with the cursor, it went to 9px. I was really upset. I tried and tried. Finally i bought dreamweaver mx. Same problem.....After trying a while i made the size of awl links is 8px at least. I don't know how i have done this. The only problem which is still there is like this: There is one link to my board. The board url is: It's also possible to reach the board via The first solution is much better. So when i set the target of the link to the size of the link is 9px. When i hover it 8px. But when i set the target of the link to everything works correctly and the size of the link is always 8px. Is this a bug in the software, or am i just too stupid for dremweaver ?

Please help me.....i feel lost

My guess is that it can be caused by an ovelaping of several styles that you are using.
Try &quot;cascading&quot; - define font size for the whole page or table and manipulate color & whatever in <a href..> class

hard to suggest anything good without seing actual html and css...

Ok i handled the problem:

Looks like differences betweend the different css style (a:link, a:hover etc.) are the source of the trouble. Sample:
If i set Border, bottom = dashed in a:link. And Border:bottom = solid in a:hover, i'll get the problem. If both values are the same, there ain no problem.
